Introduction of 3D shape measurement machines and reverse engineering
Reverse engineering using the 3D scanner type three-dimensional measuring instrument VL-500 (Keyence).
To conduct reverse engineering, we have introduced the 3D scanner type three-dimensional measuring machine VL-500 (Keyence). We capture damaged parts with the three-dimensional measuring machine and output the data, then create a drawing based on the repaired shape of that part. Based on that drawing, we carry out the repair work to reproduce the part in its pre-damaged shape. Even for parts that are no longer in production or for which there are no drawings, we can regenerate new parts using reverse engineering technology. This applies to internal combustion engines, industrial machinery, etc., and is also capable of shape measurement only. *Reverse engineering refers to analyzing a product to create design drawings, as well as gaining a deep understanding of manufacturing methods and operating principles. ● 3D scanner type three-dimensional measuring machine VL-500 (Keyence) ⇒ Photo 1 ● Fully automated measurement in progress ⇒ Photo 2, Photo 3, Photo 4 ● 3D data after measurement ⇒ Photo 5, Photo 6 ● Cross-sectional data screen ⇒ Photo 7
